Wikiland

Wikiland, officially the Federal Republic of Wikiland, is the largest country in the Grass World sphere of Collabora, about the size of Australia. Comprising the entire Wikilandian continent, there are several regions in the country that can be further divided into 165 provinces, each containing a major city that is the province's respective capital (including one that is cloud-borne), and the National Capital Territory, which contains the country's national capital and largest city, Wiki City.

It is well-known for its sustainability. Its cities are walkable and the vast majority of Wikilandians use public transit. Trains, trams, and buses are the most popular mode of transport, as with many other countries, though planes may be used as well.

History

The first inhabitants of what is now Wikiland represent seventeen language families as well as two language isolates. Luckily, due to persistence between these Indigenous communities, all of them are still here.

Wikiland first existed as a state upon the establishment and eventual expansion of an empire which would later become the Wikilandian Empire. On 22 January 1814, the monarchy was overthrown, resulting in the modern-day Federal Republic of Wikiland.

On 22 January 2024, 210 years after the overthrow of the kingdom, the Wikilandian peoples will participate in the Great Anarcho-Communist Revolution, with hopes to overthrow the republic and establish anarcho-communist communes. This will come after the overthrow of Okinada by The Wiki Camp 2 Union and its Okinadan allies.

Geography

Wikiland is the largest country in Collabora by area, comprising a single continent. Because of this, it is incredibly diverse, especially geographically.

Biodiversity

Okinberries, aguberries, and ponsukeberries are all native to the Wikilandian continent. Aguberries in particular are a highly popular export.

Ethnicity

Wikiland is home to a large variety of Indigenous ethnic groups. They speak languages representing sixteen language families, along with two language isolates. Of these sixteen families, five are very widespread. Other languages are commonly spoken, including English, which is not native to the Grass World.

Culture

Among the Grass World's countries, Wikiland has one of the most diverse cultures in the world. It is home to many ethnic groups from around the world, each contributing to Wikilandian society in a specific way.

Sport

Sports of many types play a major role in Wikilandian culture. Football and baseball are the two most popular sports in Wikiland, with American football following closely behind. Professional football is managed by the Wikilandian Football Association (WFA), with the highest level of play being The Wiki League. Professional baseball is played under Wikilandian Professional Baseball (WPB).

Intercollegiate athletics is also popular. It is overseen by the Wikilandian Association of University and College Athletics (WAUCA).
