Halloween

History

Halloween has its origins in Ireland as the Celtic harvest festival Samhain (Irish for November). When Irish settlers came to the United States, the traditions came with them. Even today, Halloween/Samhain remains a wildly popular celebration, with many taking to the streets in spooky masks and costumes, as well as a large parade.
