Locations
No one knows where most wax comes from. Natural wax most often occurs in bee places and the inner ear. In the latter, wax is used as a shield to protect the ear from the elements. The rest might come from, I dunno, whale blubber? Most miscellaneous things come from whales.
Perhaps the greatest units of wild wax are the three waxwings. They are the only known animals to be covered entirely in wax.
